T.V. Series:

Beginning in April '98, Card Captor Sakura was animated and brought to life on NHK2 T.V.! So far there have been 3 T.V. seasons, totaling of 70 episodes. The anime has just ended recently.

The animation is done by Madhouse with character designs by Kumiko Takahashi. The art is high quality (as compared to other T.V. series). Some of the T.V. episodes follow the manga storylines but not quite faithfully. As there have been a handful of more Clow Cards and new characters, such as Mei-ling (Syaoran's Cousin), that were created solely for the T.V. series.
